Maritime Christian Bookstore was originally a college bookstore that supplied textbooks and study helps to the students at Maritime Christian College then located here.

Leslie Jones, the bookstore manager, and his wife Fern purchased the bookstore from the college. Their efforts were blessed and by the time they sold the business to their daughter and her husband, Bonnie and Roger May in September 1991, the business had grown to include a music department and an extensive selection of books and gifts. Bonnie and Roger's efforts were also blessed. Our second expansion is now underway.
